Quiet Storm is an appropriate name for a band that is both reserved and powerful. Their sound is jazz with a soulful African flavour that comes from fusing funk and traditional African sounds.

Like many young bands the members met while they were all studying at the same tertiary institution for the same degree and they decided to form a band. T-Low was added as a vocalist as she had a suitable voice and spirit that fitted the band's style.
