Vocalist Ringo Madlingozi is one of South Africa’s strongest live performing acts.
Ringo however, is no newcomer to the music scene, and has persevered through a succession
of bands, and session work which has had him recording with artists as diverse as
Hugh Masekela, Simply Red, Teddy Pendergrass (The Power of One) and Caiphus Semenya,
as well as for the movie The Lion King.
• Ringo performs on the Mbira Stage on Friday, August 26. He will be accompanied
by Floyd Manana (guitar), Kenneth Mshwana (drums/backing vocals), Sandile Mcina
(keyboards/ backing vocals), Elias Mofokeng (bass guitar/backing vocals) and Themba
Masemula (backing vocals).
